AUDITIONS


The Glee Club numbers around 100 men selected by audition.  Membership is open to all male students, faculty, and staff of Miami University.  Auditions for Glee Club will be held during the first week of classes in the Fall semester. Individual auditions last only five minutes and consist of scales and vocalizes, ear training exercises, and sight singing. No prepared solo is required.  Interested singers should sign up at the choir table in the food court of the Shriver Center from 9am-5pm. Auditions will be held in Room 204 of Presser Hall (PRS 204). 


SCHEDULE


The course number for Glee Club is MUS 100B (section A) and earns singers 1 credit.  Grading is based primarily on attendance. Rehearsals are 7:00 – 8:15 pm every Monday evening and 2:15 – 3:30 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays.


All rehearsals are held in Presser Hall, Room 222.  Attendance at all rehearsals and concerts is required.  Several extra dress rehearsals are normally scheduled throughout the semester.
